Visiting our Lodge

Map of the Township of Akaroa.

Note: One-way northbound from Town Wharf to French Bay.

A warm welcome awaits visitors both local and from around the world. In colder winter months we have the refectory fire burning and perhaps a hot toddy awaiting your attendance.

The Lodge meets regularly at 7:30 PM on the 2nd Friday of each month except January. Visitors are always welcome and normally received at 8 PM. Please check our meetings program on this site, or contact us by email, or telephone the Duty Officer listed on our building notice board.

For the many visitors to Akaroa during the Christmas Holiday Season, a special summer barbeque gathering is, usually on the evening of the 2nd Friday in January. Details will be given on the Meetings page. Visiting Masons and their family and friends are most welcome. e hope you want to meet us as much as we do, to share our fraternity with you.

The October meeting is our installation. The Lodge meets early with visiting Masons admitted at 6:45 PM. For visitors traveling any distance, a light buffet is served at 6 PM in the refectory. This is a social occasion. Attendance by partners is encouraged. They will be entertained from 7 PM until the meeting adjourns for the Installation Banquet – usually about 9 PM.

Tours of our historic Lodge Rooms can be arranged at short notice - provided a custodian is available. Phone (03) 304 8485.
